Energy Bliss Bites


You’ve probably seen or made versions of these, I have fine tuned them to develop my fav two recipes here πŸ˜‰ So let me back up- what is an energy/bliss bite? They are simply mini-homemade healthy balls for a quick bite or energy boost. They are perfect for pre/post workout, or especially if you just want a little snack at anytime! These are vegan, all-natural, and so easy to make at home! TheyΒ are good kept in the fridge about a week too πŸ˜‰

See my two recipes here: You will need the following ingredients + a food processor/blender + cutting board + a cookie sheet + fridge

 

Cacao-coconut bliss bites: yields about 6 balls
Ingredients:Β 
– 7 pitted dates
– 2 tbs Justin’s cacao hazelnut butter (or any nut butter + 1 tsp cacao)
– 2 tbs raw shredded coconut flakes

Instructions:Β 
1. Process dates until they are one big ball, add cacao hazelnut butter (or nut butter + cacao).
2. Process again until mixed.
3. Remove from food processor, roll out into balls on a cutting board.
4. Roll each ball in the coconut flakes.
5. Place balls on cookie sheet and refrigerate about 15-20 minutes so that they can harden slightly.
Enjoy!

 

Peanut butter-pepita energy bites: yields about 6 bites

Ingredients:
– 7 pitted dates
– 2 tbs Wild Friends honey peanut butter (or your fav nut butter)
– 1 tbs chia or chia/hemp/flax seed mix
– 1 tbs pepitas

Instructions:Β 
1. Process dates until they are one big ball, add peanut butter.
2. Process again until mixed.
3. Remove from food processor, hand mix in chia (or chia mix) seeds.
4. Roll out into balls on a cutting board.
5. Press a few pepitas into each ball.
6. Place balls on cookie sheet and refrigerate about 15-20 minutes so that they can harden slightly.
