Nuts are pretty spectacular, and one of the most underrated healthy snacks in my opinion. Packed with protein, good unsaturated fats, vitamins, and minerals, they are super easy to transport, grab, fill up on and chow down on delightfully for a mid-day energy boost, pre-meal appetizer with fruit and cheese, or post-dinner dessert with tea. Enjoying them plain, or especially in baked goods- nuts are fantastic and my favorite go-to snack. Not all nuts are created equal however. A general rule of thumb is that raw, unroasted nuts tend to have the better levels of the “good fats.” Almonds and peanuts are some of the healthiest nut, and my personal favorites. So get to it, get nutty, go nuts!
